RIVERBEND was a sweet, fulfilling, and very welcomed short read. Everything you want in a summer romance. A dash of humor, a pinch of spice, and a dollop of sexual tension. No, sadly, this story doesn't involve copious amounts of yummy baked goods. My apologies for getting your hopes up. But for me, it was the perfect way to spend an unseasonably warm fall afternoon.
There is a lot to love within these 65 pages.
I instantly fell for our starcrossed lovers. Dr. Mitchem and Cynthia are both endearing and it was easy to get caught up in their mutual angst.
They are absolutely made for each other. Not just what the other wants but also exactly what other needs. Unfortunately, there are a few things in their way. Mitchem's love and loyalty to his deceased wife won't let him move forward, Cynthia's shaky past relationships, and that annoying and pesky company policy to name a few.

Mitchem's best friend and fellow hunk Liam is great comedy relief and quite the instigator. Despite his philandering ways, he was charming and quite a catch himself. His genuine concern for his friend's love love and subsequent well being is evident in his every manipulation of Mitchem's weak defenses.

All of this adds up to a thoroughly enjoyable break in your crazy-busy-mad-every-day life.
RIVERBEND is my first Ciara Knight read. It was a great introduction to this best selling author and is one of those stories I would recommend to anyone looking for a quick and simply satisfying read. Seriously, guys. Grab it up...
